Nora's 2nd Birthday

Our sweet Nora turned TWO!!! She is the funniest little girl and makes us laugh all the time. I can't believe she is two, and yet, it almost seems like she has been two for a few months now. She has really been into Minnie Mouse since we went to Disney Land in June. We kind of decided then that she should have a Minnie Mouse birthday. She was even wearing her Minnie Mouse shirt for the occasion :).

This girl isn't spoiled or anything!

Of course, I made the cake! I remember how my mother used to make us these beautiful birthday cakes and made us feel so special on our birthdays. I like to do the same thing now with my girls. It feels nice to carry on a good tradition of my mother's. Kind of like a small part of her is still with me. This cake is probably one of my absolute favorites. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and so was Nora, and so was Fanny :). They had a lot of fun watching me make it and really enjoyed tasting it. I use homemade marshmallow fondant and the girls LOVE to eat it!

We got Nora a bunch of books that she loves to check out from the library. She was so excited that they are her very own now.

Fanny and Nora have been fighting over this doll and all her accessories, especially the doll stroller we bought to go with her. Fanny knows it is Nora's, but she gets so mad when ever Nora plays with it and the doll. Fanny decided that the doll's name is Latasha. We are calling her Tasha for short :).

Love this little princess! She is a joy in our lives! I can't believe how fast she is growing. So many people ask me if the girls are twins! They are a little over two years apart! Nora is such a smart girl, much like her sister. She doesn't miss a thing. She loves to do anything Fanny is doing, loves to dress up, loves to read and be read to, enjoys playing outdoors, loves to do projects and color, loves to dance and sing, loves to repeat things, and so much more!

Here is a cute clip of her blowing out the candles on her cake:

Mazal Tov dear Nora! Happy Birthday little love! So glad you came to our family two years ago! We love you so very, very, very much!!

Happy Birthday, Nora! My how time flies! They seem like they should still be our little babies. You are so stinking talented in the cake department. You could be professional!
