YAY!!!!! Joseph's brother, Jonathan, got married to Kadi this past weekend! It was a beautiful wedding! They were sealed in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple on Thursday, September 6th. Then their reception was in Star Valley, Wyoming on Saturday, September 8th. They asked me to make the wedding cake for the reception!!! Pictures of the cake are further down...
We are super happy for Jon and Kadi. They make such a beautiful couple! I took LOTS of pictures, so I hope you enjoy!
Fanny was being a little camera shy. Joseph's very talented mother made the skirts for the girls. Aren't they adorable?!
Nora was NOT camera shy. She just loves to smile for the camera!
Fanny hanging out with her buddy, Jacob.
The beautiful couple!
Wasn't her hair so pretty?! Kadi is so gorgeous!
Wedding pictures with family outside of the temple.
Jonathan and Kadi with all the cousins.
Cheesing for the camera again. Such a cute smile!
Sister loves!
Touching the temple.
I love this picture of all of Joseph's sibling with the happy couple.
Nora was trying to imitate the bride with all of her friends blowing kisses for a picture.
And...here is the Lace Wedding Cake!!! This was my very first wedding cake! I'm super pleased with how it turned out. I learned a lot in the process of making it. Of course, I see all the flaws, but I don't think everyone else who saw it noticed them. Jon and Kadi wanted red velvet cake on the bottom two layers and rainbow chip on top for their first anniversary (that is Jonathan's favorite kind of cake :). I must say, the cake tasted AMAZING! Seriously! It was so flavorful, moist, and durable. I got the recipe off of Rosebakes.com. Rose is aweseome! I've learned so much from her website. Maybe someday I'll go into the sweet making business myself...
The reception was BEAUTIFUL. It felt like you stepped back in time. The theme was kind of a nostalgic, rustic, country, old fashioned theme and her colors were so pretty!
Loved all the old fashioned candy and Italian sodas! YUM!
Awesome!
Not the greatest lighting, but I wanted to include a picture of Fanny with her Nana.
We had some fun with some of the old picture frames that were hanging up.
Cute cousins. The second picture is blurry, but I just loved how Tayson was feeding Nora. They were so funny together :).
These were hanging everywhere. Each had a candle inside. They were super pretty.
Loved their centerpieces.
Congratulations Jonathan & Kadi! So happy for you two! You are both wonderful and make such an amazing couple. Love you both!
