This past weekend we had the opportunity to fly to Chicago for a Weston Family Reunion. It was such a WONDERFUL trip!!! It's too bad it was SOOO SHORT! We flew out Friday morning and came back Sunday night. We had such a great time while we were there and really enjoyed seeing everyone. Uncle Lloyd made the "Welcome" poster for Dad. Isn't it great?!
Here is what happens to Fanny's hair in the humidity. I think I'm the only one that really felt the humidity in Chicago. I thought this was a pretty cute picture. You gotta love Fanny's tongue hanging out of her mouth. She did so well on the plane. Coming and going she took a bottle during take off, so her ears never bothered her. Then, on both flights, she slept for about two hours of the three. She got a little antsy toward the end, but never fussed or cried. What a good girl!
We surprised Dad with a cake and a couple presents for organizing the reunion and for being such a GREAT dad. A BIG thanks to Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Linda, too, for helping us out and for being such great hosts!! Love you Dad! Thanks for such a wonderful time!
It was so wonderful to see Avriel and spend some time with her and her boyfriend Dave! What a blessing it is to have her back in our lives. I love you Av! I love you too, Peerli! I'm so grateful for my sisters!! They are both such beautiful, amazing women. It was great for all three of us to be together after so many years!

Uncle Brent reading Fanny a book. Peerli and Brent watched Fanny for Joseph and I for about 20 minutes while we went to the hot tub in the hotel on Saturday night. While we were gone, she got a little fussy and one of the only things that pacified her was playing with the remote control. Funny thing is, she ended up ordering a movie! Peerli had to call the front desk to have them cancel it!
Look at Dad's smile in the second picture. Have you ever seen a picture of him with such a BIG smile? He sure loves his granddaughter. She REALLY enjoyed taking his hat off...over and over again.

All smiles on Sunday morning! Little did she know that the reunion would soon be over and we would be getting on the plane in a few hours.
