4th of July!!!

OK, so it has almost been a week now since the 4th, but I had to share our Fun and Exciting Independence Day with all of you. It started with Joseph running the 5K at 8:00a.m. He did such a good job! He placed 96th out of 300+ runners. His time was 25 minutes and he actually placed 5th in his division. For his first time running a 5K, we thought that was GREAT! He is going to be running another one later this month. Can you tell I'm just glowing with pride?!
After a yummy breakfast, we headed out to get a good spot for the Grantsville 4th of July Parade. The parade was great! It was fun having Joseph's family with us to catch all the candy they were throwing from the floats!
Doesn't Fanny look so cute all decked out for the 4th?? After the parade we had lunch, then headed back out to watch the car show and walk around the park. We then came home and had dinner and celebrated Joseph's Dad's birthday. Then went back out to watch Joseph's choir perform. After that we came home and watched the fireworks from our front yard. They say Grantsville's firework show is one of the best in Utah. We thought it was pretty good!
Independence Day is such a great holiday. I'm definitely grateful for this country and for the freedoms we enjoy. It was wonderful to have family here with us to celebrate. We already miss them and can't wait to see them again!!
