We had a really great trip to Michigan this past weekend. Fanny was awesome on the plane. Thank goodness for the iPhone to entertain her!! She was super cute during take off and landing. She just laughed and laughed. I think the vibration of the plane tickled her =). Nora, on the other hand, did not do as great. She was fine for a while, then when she started getting tired she really started fussing. She only sleeps in her car seat or crib, so it was hard to get her to recognize that she needed nap and should just go to sleep in my lap. Once she fell asleep, though, the rest of the flight was nice. We went to Michigan to see my Bubbie Ethel (grandma), who isn't doing too well. It was wonderful to see family (Dad, Carol, Peerli, Brent, Brylan and Avriel) and it was very special to be able to spend some time with Bubbie.
Here is a picture of Avriel with Brylan. She has grown up so much since I saw her last in March. What a CUTIE!! She is such a personable little baby and will let anyone hold her. Love her adorable smiles. Wish I lived closer to my sister so I could see her more often!!
Brylan "attacking" my girls. I love it! Look at the look in her eyes, "I WANT that bottle!"
Fanny just loved her Savta Carol. They did a lot of reading together and identifying people in pictures.
Bubbie with Nora.
Four generation picture.
We went to Barbra's house to break the Yom Kippur fast. This house was pretty amazing with a very modern/contemporary style and an indoor pool. Not really my idea of cozy, or baby/kid friendly for that matter, but it was fun! We had bagels and lox, kugel, stuffed grape leaves, pita bread with all the good fillings for inside, and a whole table full of REALLY good desserts. I loved it! Haven't had good traditional Jewish food like that in a long time. Joseph was not a fan, but enjoyed the desserts for sure =). Here are some pictures of the house I took on my phone.
Brylan has the book...
Now Nora has the book...
Now Nora is "attacking" Brylan.
So that is what is at the end of the rainbow!!
Not the greatest lighting, but here are a few family pictures. Looks like a cruise ship.
The only one looking at the camera is Fanny =).
OK, so I LOVED this park my Dad took us to. Can I just say, "WOW!!" I wish we had a park just like it in Grantsville. I would go everyday with the girls! The swings looked like they belonged in an amusement park ride.
Loved this barn right next to the park!
This was SOOO much FUN!!! I passed by it thinking, "What does that do?" Then I stepped on and started spinning around and around. I was literally laughing out loud it was such a blast!!
LOVE this picture!!!
Dad got on the tire swing...I won't tell you what happened during his first attempt to get on...Ha ha, I love you, Dad!!
Isn't this such a pretty spot?! Check out the swing set to the left. It has springs. Didn't realize it when I sat down on it with Nora and started swinging. I was wondering why it was kind of bouncy =).
Fanny has really been into slides lately. It is great because she used to be scared of them. When we told her it was time to go she was so upset because she wanted to slide some more.
What a WONDERFUL trip!! So glad we got to see everyone and spend time with Bubbie!! I love her so much and am grateful that we were all able to be there together. Missing everyone SOOO much already. Can't wait for our next little family reunion!!!
