Guess Who Started Walking?!?!?!

NORA!!!!!

That's right, Nora started walking! She will walk a short distance from one location to another, typically from somewhere like the couch to me. Occasionally she falls down, but usually when that happens she just laughs. I can't believe how much my girl has grown. She also said her first word!!! BUBBLES!!! She looked right at the bottle of bubbles the other day and said, "Bubul." She says it every time I blow bubbles for the girls. She has said some other words here and there, but nothing that has been very clear or repeated several times. I think she knows ball, hi, hey, and a few others. I'm still waiting for a very distinct Mama! She knows how to sign "all done" and can understand a great number of things that we tell her, like go get a book, bottle, time to eat, go outside, etc. She loves to make animal sounds, too. Sometimes they are not the correct sound for the animal she is looking at, but the fact that she makes a sound is cute. She loves music and dancing. When I sing songs with hand and body movements, Nora actually does the correct movements along with me. Sometimes she starts "singing" and doing hand movements all on her own. It is cute because I can totally tell what song she is singing. She enjoys "talking" on the phone and will pick up toy phones and put them on her ear/head and start chatting away. Nora recently discovered the oven drawer. I have pictures of Fanny doing the exact same thing.

The other day I found Nora in her room just sitting on the giant stuffed cow flipping through books. It was super cute how she got herself all comfortable before beginning to read to herself. She could read for hours, just like her sister. Literally, I can sit on the floor and she will bring me book after book after book and not get board.

Here is a video of Nora walking. It is right when she took some of her first steps. Don't mind me in the video, I'm just a cheese head, but watch Nora when she walks to me the second time. So many steps!!!!!

There are so many other things Nora has been up to. I guess this post was just some of the highlights. What an adorable little girl she is!
