Happy 1st Birthday Nora Grace!!!

Nora turned ONE!!! I can't believe a whole year has gone by since she was born. This little girl is such a bundle of joy and fun!!

Nora has to have EVERYTHING we are eating. If there is something on the dinner table that she doesn't have, she throws a fit until she gets it. For example, on her birthday we were eating BBQ ribs. Yep, she WANTED one. Just the meat off the rib didn't suffice. She wanted the bone!! So, she got one. It was her birthday, we just couldn't refuse =).

For Nora's birthday I made a cupcake turtle cake and ice cream cone cupcakes!! The pattern on the turtle didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to. I started a pattern and messed up, so I just started piping random lines everywhere. I think it still turned out pretty cute, though. I really like the way the cupcake cones turned out! They were super easy, too. I'm definitely doing them again for a future birthday.

We started a tradition with Fanny to give our children a Kleenex box all to themselves on their 1st birthday. Nora seemed to enjoy pulling the tissues out of her box:

Nora LOVES to read. She will grab a book and crawl up onto my lap so I can read it to her. When I'm not in the room, she will often just look through books and "read" them to herself.

Of course boxes are always more fun than what is inside!!

Thank you so much to all of you who sent Nora presents and birthday wishes!! It meant a lot to us. We just love this little sweetie so much! She sure can brighten a room. Nora is SOOO close to taking her first steps. She is starting to stand up on her own for longer amounts of time. She loves her sister, loves being outside, has two teeth, loves music and dancing, likes to go up stairs and is almost able to go down them by herself, she enjoys reading and playing with toys (usually whatever toy Fanny is playing with), and is quite friendly and social. She has the most adorable smiles and makes some of the cutest sounds I've ever heard out of a one year old. I'm so thankful to be blessed with such an adorable little girl!!
