A couple weeks ago Fanny's Sabba Rafe and Savta Carol came to visit us. It was SOOO wonderful to spend some time with them. It had been almost a year since we last saw them. Of course, the visit seemed to go by way too quickly. I wish we had more time with them. In the beginning of July we will get to see them again in Chicago for a short family reunion, and we can't wait!! It will also be Fanny's first plane ride, Woohoo!!
We did some fun things while my Dad and Carol were here, which included celebrating Fanny's first birthday, having a picnic and taking a walk along the Great Salt Lake, touring the Benson Grist Mill, and just spending some time together. Here are a few pictures of their visit along with a great video clip of Fanny eating her first birthday cupcake.
I love these pictures of everyone trying to help Fanny blow out the candle on her birthday cake, especially my Dad's expression in the first one. We started teaching Fanny how to blow, but she didn't get it until a couple days after her actual birthday. She'll be really good at blowing out the candles next year! This year she just tired to grab the candle, as you can see from the last picture. Oh, and when you watch the video, you will know why Fanny is only in her diaper. Cake and frosting can get pretty messy.
Fanny's first experience with birthday cake! This is GREAT!! Enjoy watching!
