Spaghetti and More

We gave Fanny spaghetti for the first time the other night. She eats pretty much everything we do now. Well, anything that is soft enough for her to chew with her gums. It was not surprising at all that she LOVED spaghetti. Anyone that knows me, knows that Italian food, chiefly spaghetti, is my all time favorite!! Oh, and if you look really carefully at the picture above, you can see Fanny's one tooth on the bottom left of her mouth. It is so cute.


See the spaghetti noodles in her hair? Man, this girl get SOOO messy when she eats. I never understood how children get food ALL over themselves when they eat. The things you come to learn as a parent...

The "necessary" bath after dinner. I realized that I hardly have any pictures of Fanny taking a bath. So, here are a few. She LOVES bath time! Usually Joseph gives her a bath as part of her bedtime routine. It gives him the opportunity to spend some time with her since he is gone all day. It is also the rule that when Joseph is home that he has to change her diapers. He never complains either! Fanny looks like she is not sure about having her picture taken in this first picture, but, as you can see, it didn't take her long to bring on the smiles.


Fanny now has an official comfort object, also known as her "lovey." It is this blanket that her Aunt Peerli gave her when she was born. If it is in sight, she grabs it and either sticks it in her mouth or rubs her head in it and lays on it.

Just a few more pictures of our cutie. Fanny has become so independent lately. She will play for long amounts of time all by herself without crying or trying to get my attention. It really surprised me at first, but it is kind of nice to be able to get more done when she is awake now. She talks sooooo much, too. We get such of kick out of listening to her jabber away.


The weather here has been gorgeous the past few days, so we have been getting outside again. The last picture is of Fanny with Joseph's sister, Sarah, who is going to be living with us for the summer. We are really excited to have her!!
