SeaWorld

On the last day of our trip we went to SeaWorld San Diego. Fanny's favorite part of the park was the Sesame Street Bay of Play area. They had a "teacup" ride called Abby's Sea Star Spin. She did that FOUR times! There was also an Elmo ride like the Dumbo one in Disneyland. Nora was having a ton of fun there, too. Whenever the rides were over she would cry because she wanted them to keep going.

I really enjoyed seeing the marine life. Fanny and Nora liked that part too, but Fanny was scared that she was going to get wet. Needless to say, there were several times throughout the day that we had to reassure her that she wasn't at any time going to be getting wet. Poor thing.

The shows were amazing! Again, Fanny was pretty scared through them because she was sure she was going to get wet, even though we were WAY up in the nosebleeds just to stay far away from the splash zones. Luckily, Nora seemed to be enjoying herself. I can't believe the size of these whales!

Both girls liked the fish and turtles!

The dolphin show was pretty spectacular!

My favorite picture!

Despite the looks on Fanny's face, she really enjoyed meeting the Sesame Street characters. Nora liked looking at them from a safe distance.

My favorite was the sea lions. They were so funny.

This one was waving :).

Overall it was a nice day. I wish Fanny wasn't so scared of the water, but I'm sure one day she will overcome it. Other than her hysterics every time she thought she was going to get wet, we all had a great time. Joseph's sister, Sarah, and her husband and little baby girl came with us. They were able to watch our girls for us while Joseph and I did a couple of the rides, which were SUPER fun! We ended the day and our trip by eating dinner at a Joe's Crab Shack right on the pier. Although a franchise, it felt like a fun local seafood joint. The atmosphere was great and the food was SOOO good. I'm still thinking about the coconut shrimp I had. Yummy! It was the perfect way to end our vacation as we watched the waves roll in and enjoyed some down time sitting down as opposed to walking and standing in lines :). Thanks Sarah and Tenn for joining us on our last day of vacation!
