Our time at Newport Beach was my favorite of the trip. It was a beautiful day, the weather was perfect, the sand was nice, and, best of all, the girls were having such a great time! Fanny and Nora have never enjoyed beaches before, but that is because we have always gone to lake beaches with muddy shores and tried to put them both in the water. Before we even went on this trip I told Fanny we were going to the beach, but she didn't have to ever get in the water and she could play in the sand the whole time. She was happy with that and knew what was coming, so when we went, she just enjoyed playing in the sand and building castles. It was so relaxing!
Nora was hesitant at first, so she sat on our laps. Later she understood how fun it can be to play in a BIG "sand box." She ended up putting masses of sand in her hair and all over her body :).
