We had some really great friends of ours over for a wonderful Passover Seder this past week. We had to do an abridged version of the Seder since we all have pretty young children, though, but it was so nice to celebrate and be reminded once again of the Jews' exodus from Egypt. Nora, of course, was too young to get any of it, and Fanny...well...she didn't last past Kiddush, nor was she interested in finding the Afikomen. Oh well, what do you expect from a two year old. Maybe next year she will be more curious about what is going on and perhaps will even ask the four questions. That was one of my favorite parts of the Seder growing up!! I love Pesach!! It has always been my favorite Jewish holiday. Maybe that is because, when I was a little girl back in Israel, during one Passover Seder I went around and got one too many sips of wine from all the adults. The story goes that I ended up a little drunk and got up on the table and took off all my clothes!!! Yeah, we drink grape juice in our house now. But, I really do love Pesach and had a wonderful time celebrating it with friends this year. I sure love keeping up these traditions in my own home to be reminded of my Jewish heritage. Hope everyone had a nice holiday!

Wow, I didn't realize that you came from such a neat background! I think it is so great that you are passing that on to your girls. I myself know hardly anything about passover, but you have inspired me to learn more!
Hehehe...your little story there is funny...especially considering you've probably never been drunk as an adult. :) That really is great that you celebrate your Jewish background with your family. I always enjoy reading your posts about the Jewish holidays.
