We took the girls to see the baby chicks at CAL-Ranch last night. Fanny was so funny. When we walked up to where the chicks were, she acted kind of scared of them and wanted to get in the cart. Yet, she was completely fascinated by them. She kept wanting to look at them, but at a safe distance. She does this scared but intrigued act with a lot of things. If she is scared of something, she doesn't want to touch it or be too close to it, but she really wants to observe it and talk all about it. Take vacuums for instance, Fanny is terrified of them when they are on, but whenever we go to Wal-Mart she ALWAYS wants to go down the isle with the vacuums. In her prayers last night she kept saying, "Thank you for baby chicks." after every other thing she prayed for.

My boy has the SAME issue with the vacuum. We even bought him his own little play vacuum for his b-day last year. Best money ever spent. Every time I vacuum, he runs to his "safe spot" on the couch. Then he has to do it with his. I wish that thing really worked because my floors would be spotless all of the time!
