We thought it would be fun to go to Wendover Friday night to do a little gambling...JUST KIDDING!!! We don't gamble. Wendover, Nevada is a small town just a little over an hour away from us West on I-80. There are 3 casinos there and a concert hall. A while ago Joseph asked me if I wanted to go see an Emerson Drive concert at the Peppermill Concert Hall in Wendover. Well, I had no idea who Emerson Drive was at the time and didn't know if I would enjoy sitting through an entire concert where I wasn't familiar with the music. Then, Joseph mentioned we could go to a seafood buffet at one of the casino's before the show and I was in! We ended up going with Joseph's band and their wives. It was really fun! The music Emerson Drive plays sounds a lot similar to what Forty Days plays. They are one of Joseph's favorite bands. He was really anxious to see their fiddler in action. Dinner was SOOO good and I actually ended up enjoying the concert A LOT!! I even recognized some of their songs. Since being married to Joseph I've been exposed to some country music. It is still not my favorite genre, but I can tolerate it a little better. Emerson Drive is actually not a twangy country band, so I really enjoyed them! Here are some pictures from our evening.
