Grandma Titensor

On December 19, 2008 Joseph's great grandmother, Lena May Titensor, passed away. She was 98 years old and lived a really amazing, full, and happy life. Fanny was actually Grandma Titensor's very last great-great grandchild while she was living (68 in all!). On Tuesday, December 23, we went to her funeral in Thayne, Wyoming. It was a nice service commemorating such an amazing woman. We were very lucky to have the opportunity this past summer to see her in the nursing home in Jackson. We took some five generation pictures with Fanny, Joseph, his mother, grandmother (Nana), and great grandmother. We also got a wonderful video of grandma Titensor holding Fanny and saying that she is her great-great grandmother. It was a very special moment that we will never forget. The best part was when Grandma Titensor asked what Fanny's name was and couldn't quite hear the answer. The conversation went something like this:
Grandma Titensor - "What is her name?"
Joseph - "Fanny"
G. Titensor - "Sammy?"
Joseph - "No, Fanny."
G. Titensor - "Danny?"
Joseph - "Fanny. With an F, like Frank."
G. Titensor - "FRANK!!??"
Joseph - "No, Fanny."
G. Titensor - "Oh...Fanny! Ahhh. Fanny. She is just a little doll!"
The funny part was, this conversation happened about 5 times while we were there.

We love you Grandma! We'll miss you!

How amazing that Fanny was able to meet her Great Great Grandma. I love looking at the pictures from when I was little of me and my Great Grandmas. My thoughts are with your family.

I have 2 five generation pictures. One when I was a child with my great-great grandmother and one with my son Tayler with his great-great grandmother. They are cherished possessions. I'm glad you were able to see her before she passed.
