Halloween

The girls wanted to be Anna and Elsa for Halloween since I can't even remember when. Probably last Thanksgiving when it first came out in theaters. All my pictures in this post are cell phone pictures, so some are kind of blurry. Sorry, I'm getting lazy I guess. Anyway, the costume pictures span over three days of activities. The first day was the traditional Halloween party at Grandma Shumway's house. I love, love how beautiful the girls' costumes looked on them. Fanny and Nora just loved them, too. They waited all through the month of October in anticipation for them to arrive.

Adorable little Elsa and Anna!

Very dramatic!

Before the Trunk or Treat party at the church. Fanny looks so sweet! Can you see the streak of white in her hair. We were going to spray Nora's whole hair white, but she decided she definitely didn't want to do that. Would have been a nice touch, but oh well. Didn't want to fight that battle. Last year we bought the girls wigs, which they complained about all through Halloween night, so we for sure didn't want to even try that again this year. I think they looked adorable anyway :-).

Nora definitely has a dramatic flare! I love it!!

This was the best picture of the three of them. We were hoping to have Anthon be Olaf, but decided he would be more comfortable in this simple Batman costume. The Olaf one was bunchy and had an Olaf head which I'm pretty sure he would not have kept on. Nora, determined to keep the theme of Frozen between siblings told me one day, "Mommy, in the second Frozen movie, Elsa marries Batman." I busted up laughing so hard!!

Some of these are so funny I just had to include them. Anthon was trying to get away.

Nora is looking down.

Fanny's eyes!!!

Awww!

Oh, he is just so dang CUTE!!!

Switching up the costumes for Halloween night trick or treating. Personally, I like them better this way. It fits better. Fanny is older, Elsa is older. Anna is more spunky and wild, so is Nora. Elsa is more introverted and reserved, so is Fanny, but she "lets it go" when she is comfortable at home or around people she trusts. The girls just love and adore each other to pieces. I love their relationship. We love the movie Frozen at our house because of the message of love between the two sisters. The girls are always acting out scenes from the movie and love to sing all the songs. Nora is always Elsa and Fanny is always Anna when they do this, so it was fun to see them make this switch on Halloween.

Out around the neighborhood. So nice to have good weather for the occasion. Oh yeah, and we had to tie up Elsa's train for trick or treating because it is super long. The girls don't want me to cut it because Elsa's train in the movie is long ;-).

I love pictures from behind.

He REALLY like the candy!

BEAUTIFUL fall weather in Star Valley. These pictures are from a trip we took to Idaho Falls as a family to go to a pumpkin patch earlier in October.

Cool place we found to go pumpkin picking with the family.

Each picking their own pumpkins.

Ha ha! I didn't realize how windy it was when I was taking pictures of Anthon by the pumpkins until I asked the girls to come pose for me. Whoops. They tried, but the pictures just didn't turn out.

Train ride.

Straw maze.

I seriously am in love with Fall here in Star Valley, Wyoming. It has been a real nice Indian Summer so far, so it may be different in years to come. I hope not too different. Autumn is my favorite season, so it has been nice to see how beautiful and wonderful it is in this area. I love it! House is coming along. Just praying the nice weather holds out long enough to get the roof on. That is roughly a month out at this point, maybe a little more. Pray for us!! Then we should be able to move in by the end of March...we hope...
