I can't believe Nora turned FOUR!!! Honestly, it seems like she has been four years old this whole past year. It feels like she should be turning five. Did we miss a year of her life somewhere and not realize it?? Seriously, though, this little girls is such a cutie! She makes me laugh everyday :-). She is a funny, smart, silly, dramatic, witty, determined, stubborn, playful, creative, imaginative, talented, energetic, and adorable little girl.
She went from wanting a Tinkerbell party, to a Space party, to a Toy Story party, to a Pony party, and then finally settled on a My Little Pony party. I was glad. It was a fun theme to use for a birthday. I knew nothing about My Little Ponies until I started planning this party. I guess there are six main My Little Ponies. There were so many great ideas out there on the internet for things to do for a My Little Pony party. I picked a few things that I really liked. I was excited, and Nora was ecstatic, about how everything came together.
The invitation. Nora invited her two cousins, Tayson and Milly, and a friend from church. Fanny also got to invite a friend from church, so there were six kids all together.
The gift bags, or cups, rather. in the bottom of the baggie with the rainbow licorice and marshmallows, there were skittles and M&Ms.
And the CAKE!!! I LOVE doing fondant ribbons!!! They take a lot of time, but they are relatively easy to make and you really can't mess them up. Nora and Fanny were big fans of this one. Further down I have a picture of the inside. The actual cake was a rainbow, too!!
The birthday girl.
The decorations.
I got all these ideas on Pinterest. Thank goodness, because I had no idea what to do for a My Little Pony party.
Nora in front of the Pin the Tail on the Pony game. The kids enjoyed this one. I didn't really take very many pictures of the actual party. The kids sure had a blast, though.
Fun angle of the cake.
The inside!!!
A dress up she got from Nana. She loves it! She often plays wedding where she is Strawberry Shortcake, and Woody (from Toy Story) is the groom, ha ha. I love it! My little imaginative girl!
One thing the girls love doing is pretending to be on a cooking show. Nora says something like, "Hi, I'm Strawberry from ding.com and this is my friend, Blueberry. Today we are going to show you how to make sugar cookies..." They then proceed to point out what you will need and how to make the treat. Fun girls :-). Sorry, these pictures are a little blurry.
Here is a video of Nora doing the last part of a cooking show. Enjoy!!
I love this little sweetheart. She really brings a lot of laughter into our home. She is such a lovable thing and always gives hugs and likes to snuggle. She also has a pretty stubborn side and can still throw a tantrum like no other. She is quite the negotiator and makes me laugh when she tries to get out of things or wants something. I often have to try to be serious and hold my ground with her. She loves singing, dressing up, acting, being read to, looking through books, coloring, playing with clay, tracing, being outdoors, playing with Fanny, playing with and "taking care of" Anthon, watching movies, playing with toys, pretending to play instruments, and all kinds of other fun things four year old girls like to do.
Happy Birthday my Nora-Lora!!!
