Alabama Trip

I just had the WONDERFUL opportunity of going down to Birmingham, Alabama to spend time with my two lovely sisters and celebrate my sweet Niece's birthday. I'm missing them all so much already!! It was so great to see them and spend some real quality time together. I can't stand that we all live so far away!!

Here is Brylan on her birthday. She turned THREE!!! I remember the last time I visited Peerli and Brent  in Alabama was exactly three years ago right after Bry was born. I had Nora with me who was six months at the time. This trip I had Anthon with me who was eight and a half months. I just love the expressions on Brylan's face. She was sure excited about that ice cream!

On Bry's birthday we went to an Airwalk trampoline arena. That was so much fun! Anthon was okay as long as I held him and jumped soft. This little guy had some MAJOR separation anxiety while we were in Alabama. It was so bad that if I even walked away from him for a second when we were in the same room he would start to cry. He did warm up a little bit right at the end of our trip. Another reason I wish we lived closer. By the time the little ones get used to their relatives, it is time to leave :-(.

Peerli, Avriel and I all got a night out for some quality sister time. Anthon didn't last long with Brent, but Brent was amazing and watched him for us so we could go eat some sushi. A tradition we have always had when we get together. I love my sisters SOOO much!!! Thanks to Brent for being such a great babysitter :-). 

Speaking of... Brent the Spider Man!!! Time for a little girl's super hero party!!

I made this cake for the occasion. I'm super happy with how it turned out. The word was that it tasted amazing, too :-). Peerli is convinced I should start a business. Maybe someday...

I think Peerli should start a party planning business because she throws one heck of an amazing party. Her skills at decorating and food choices, etc. are second to none. (for Peerli and Av: "Mmm...Where are your mini hot dogs?" Ha ha ha!!)

That is until it started collapsing. Oops! Good thing the guy who set it up told Brent how to fix it when it did that.

 Brylan really adores her nephew. It was a good thing he was used to this kind attention back at home.   

Last day :-(. See, he was finally warming up and actually let Peerli hold him. She sure got him laughing. It was super cute.

  

One of the days we were there Avriel and I got to watch Brylan and Anthon while Peerli and Brent went to an Annual Mardi Gras Banquet. They go every year and we didn't want them to miss it, so we were happy to stay home and babysit. Plus, Av and I had such a wonderful opportunity to visit and talk after the kids were in bed. It was a great evening. Here I am giving Brylan an airplane ride during which Anthon decided to crawl up on me and rest his head on my stomach. Too cute!

Aw, I'm going to miss this little girl so much!!! 

Such a great time! Seriously, I cannot wait for the opportunity to get together with my sisters again. I love them more than words can describe and miss them so much it makes me tear up putting together this post. One day when the stars and planets are aligned just right, in some perfect world, we will all live right next door to each other. A girl can dream, can't she :-). Love you sister loves!! Till we meet again...
