Mazal Tov Avriel and Jay!!!
Married on September 21, 2013
(this picture was taken by John Abbott, Avriel and Jay's wedding photographer)
Last weekend Joseph, Anthon, and I all went to Chicago for my little sister's wedding. The girls got to go stay with Nana and Papa on the farm while we were away. I can't even express how wonderful it was to be a part of Avriel's wedding. It meant the world to me. I love her and I love Jay so much! It makes me overjoyed to see Av so happy. It makes me overjoyed just to have Av back in my life. I love my sisters so much! What a wonderful reunion it was for everyone!
Cousins who were at the rehearsal dinner on Friday night. The food was SOOO good! The food was excellent all weekend. We were at an Italian restaurant. The best part was that there was TONS of chocolate on every table to eat whenever you pleased. YUM!!!
Anthon wasn't so sure about the change of atmosphere. He did pretty good for his first plane ride, though. There were a couple times he got a little fussy, but I just nursed him and he would fall asleep.
The three sisters with Dad.
This isn't the greatest picture, but it is the only one I have of Av's whole wedding dress with the train showing, and Dad in his tux. Doesn't she look stunning?! And doesn't my Dad look so sharp and handsome?! What was really neat was that Avriel's veil never arrived from Hong Kong (I think that is where it was shipped from), so I was able to lend her mine for the wedding. It was her "something borrowed." I was so glad that it was still in excellent condition (it has only been 7 years since I wore it for my wedding), and that I had something that was of use to Avriel. She really liked it, which was a plus!
I know, WOW, huh??!! You can actually tell that I'm wearing makeup and my hair isn't straight. Avriel, Peerli, and I all went to a salon to get our hair and makeup done. It was so much fun. I felt like I was getting a total makeover or something, I looked so different. I was actually wearing fake eyelashes. It is only once you get to be a matron of honor at your little sister's wedding ;-).
Sister loves!
Handsome Dad in the mix.
Love his expression!
I love this one of us three sisters! When we went to the salon a lot of the beauticians kept asking if we were friends. Nope, I know all three of us don't look anything alike, but we are indeed sisters.
My handsome boys!
Peerli and Brent - What a gorgeous couple!
Everyone loved his little suit. I purposely got grey so that he would match his daddy. You can't see it, but he is also wearing a purple tie :).
Wedding cake!!! And it tasted amazing, too!!
I just love how this picture of the cake in the foreground and the blurred huppah in the background turned out. It was such a beautiful huppah! It was a beautiful Jewish ceremony. I wish I could have recorded everything the rabbi said. Sorry to overuse the word, but it was beautiful! Avriel and Jay's vows to each other were so touching with a little bit of humor thrown in. I pretty much cried through the whole thing. I pretty much held in tears all night I was just so happy for my little sister.
About ready to fall asleep after a full two days of much excitement and definitely a lot of over stimulation for this little guy. He did great, though.
What a joy it was to be at Avriel and Jay's wedding! Mazal Tov to such a wonderful couple! Love you both with all my heart. Wish them all the love and happiness in the world!

What beautiful pictures. Your baby sister looked so beautiful and her dress and train was so lovely. And her colors were so pretty. As well as the flowers. And yes, your dad is very handsome, as well as your boys. It was fun to see you look transformed with your curly hair and your beauty brighten up. Thanks for sharing. Love Julie
