Lining Up By Colors Now

Lately I've been finding Fanny's Easter eggs lined up around the house. The funny thing is, she lines them up by colors and facial expressions. There are several other things I have found that she organizes by color, too. I love this! Seriously, do any of you have any ideas for her future career??
The other day when we were out shopping, a little boy passed our cart and said, "Daddy look, TWO babies!" I looked at Fanny and told her that that boy just called her a baby, and it was most likely because she was drinking out of her bottle. This girl will NOT give it up!!! I have tried and tried. The other night we were at a friend's house and she wanted her bottle. When she laid down with it and her blankie on the floor, I felt so embarrassed. I don't want to take her comfort away from her, but how old will she be when she finally gives it up? Well, Joseph and I decided we would try again to take away the bottle. She only drinks milk in it and uses her sippy for water and juice. She also drinks milk from her bottle every time she goes to sleep for naps or at night, and often just drinks milk from her bottle when she is just chillin' watching a movie or listening to music. We put milk in a sippy for her the other morning when she woke up and she threw a HUGE tantrum. Literally, she went ballistic. We decided to just be persistent with it and not give in. Well, she still asks for her bottle A LOT, but has stopped getting overly fussy about it. We decided she can have one at night, but hope that that habit will fade away when she gets used to not getting milk in a bottle during the day. Bad part is, she is not drinking the milk out of her sippy at all, and, she isn't napping in the afternoon! That means she is a cranky girl in the evenings. She is drinking a ton more juice and seems to be eating a little more, though. Oh, and then there is the potty training issue...yeah, I'm not even going to touch on that one tonight. Oy vey! What do you do??!!! She is going to be THREE in less than a month!!! Despite the toddler woes, Fanny truly is a wonderful little girl! I sure do love this little sweetie so dang much!

Wow she is smart, and she knows what she likes. J likes to make B laugh, which I like, but he also likes to make B cry- today he actually injured him, goose egg on the head and scratches on his face. We had a talk. I just keep telling myself that someday they will be able to play together, rather than the Baby being something to play with.

Bottles and potty training, I have a niece who was 3 when she gave up her bottle, she was also over 3 when she finally fully potty trained, she is your normal little kid, some kids just take longer. It sure would be nice to not buy big diapers though, I am hoping we figure out the whole potty thing soon. AH, the joys. You are a great Mom, everything will work out.

Don't sweat over her not potty training yet. I haven't even started with my almost 3 year old but will try next week. All of my older sisters told me you can start training at age 2 and it takes a year, or wait until they are about 3 and get it done in about a week (give or take of course). Good luck. It is fun that your kids are the same age as mine because I often find you write about the same things I'm going through here at the same time!
