I don't have a whole lot of time to blog at the moment, but wanted to share some pictures of the girls and a VERY short update.
Nora: She is now 4 1/2 months old! Nora is always smiling, unless she is hungry or sleeping. She loves to put things in her mouth, has discovered her hands, is on the verge of rolling, goes to bed late but sleeps through the night, and LOVES her big sister...among other things. Nora ate rice cereal for the first time last night! I will post the video of this monumental event at a later time.
Smiling.
Taking a break to put something in her mouth.
Smiling some more.
Still smiling.
Fanny: She is such a fun and very funny two year old. She still is very meticulous about lining things up, she is sleeping in a toddler bed now, but is in the habit of coming into our room every night between 2 and 4ish to sleep in our bed. We are working on breaking that habit. She loves to quote movies and books, has a memory like her daddy's (which is VERY good!), and still won't use the potty. Her 3 favorite books are potty books. She loves to read them over and over again, and line them up, she even went to the potty in her potty a couple times, but has decided she is just not interested in using it any more at the moment. She gets the concept, though. She loves to take her diaper off, which is kind of nerve racking, since I'm not always able to get to her when I'm nursing, but she can also hold it in. If she does take her diaper off, she won't use the potty, but goes and gets another diaper when she needs to go. I try to encourage her to use the potty, but she usually just wants the diaper on. She will get it when she is ready...I guess. Fanny still enjoys a number of things that I have mentioned in previous posts and don't have time to list at the moment. She is so funny. She makes me laugh all the time. It is really hard to keep a straight face when she is mad or wants something she can't have. It is like her world is ending. I wonder what she will be like as a teenager?? It is next to impossible to get Fanny to hold still for a picture. Here are some of my attempts at getting a picture of Fanny smiling.
Not quite the expression I was looking for.
"It wasn't me, officer."
Trying to make a get away from the camera.
There is a smile.
Oh, and one more while she was in mid run.
I guess this post wasn't as short as I meant to make it. I love my girls! They are just so cute, adorable and fun. Their smile makes me smile everyday.

They are so cute. Being an expert having potty-trained ONE (said with sarcasm), I think you have the right attitude. My mother-in-law kept telling me "how many people ask you how old you were when you potty-trained? No one's going to know." She's right. Really, I tried 3 times. When Jane got it, she got it. I feel your pain on the nursing though and the diaper strip. Good luck. They look too cute at me to be too upset, though.
