I'm a bit late posting this, but here is a rundown of some of our Summer highlights. Wanted to do some separate posts for these events, but haven't had the time. So, here it is all in one post. WARNING, there are A LOT of pictures :). The one above is one I took after we had some professional family pictures taken on our property. More of those to come in another post... hopefully... if I get the time to post them ;).
We launched our line of Shumway Farms ICE CREAM this summer and had wonderful success! This ice cream is AMAZING!! It was fun for Joseph and I to learn how to make it and come up with names that have a local theme. The great part is watching our customers come in the store and taste it. Lots of smiles and praise. Ice cream just makes people happy.
Meet Coolidge! We got him in July. He is a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog and we absolutely love him. These first pictures were on the day we got to pick him out.
On the ride home from Utah.
Such an adorable, sweet, little puppy boy!
Coolidge loves to lay on his back. I find him like this ALL the time :).
LOVE this pup! Check out his paws. They are HUGE! He is going to be one BIG dog.
Cousin Camp! We did this up in Tygee at Sarah's place. What a great time!! This first picture is of the older gang.
Trevis, Camille, Nora, Taysen, Fanny, Milly, Anthon and Bryce (Harmon not pictured)
The younger boys!
Making solar ovens.
Craft time.
Nature scavenger hunt and hike. It was a beautiful day!
Waiting for crayons to melt.
Solar experiment.
Shumway Family Reunion at Murphy Lake.
Lincoln County Fair. I didn't get many pictures at the fair this year. We had a great time selling our ice cream at our Shumway Farms booth, going on rides at the carnival, walking through the booths, seeing the animals, and going to the rodeo. Sorry, Peerli, you won't like this next picture. Yikes!!!
Touching sting rays.
Best buds!
Our booth!!
Highlight of the summer was ending it with family and seeing the eclipse. Avriel, Jay, Dad/Saba and Carol/Savta all came for a visit in August. We had to take Avriel and Jay on a hike to Intermittent Spring. Jay and Anthon were buds. Anthon told Jay that he was Hercules because he could pick him up :).
Haha, lots of eyes closed, but I wanted to get a picture by the cool sign.
Watching the eclipse begin.
I made a plate for Anthon so he would keep his eclipse glasses on. Haha, he looked like a little alien.
Pinhole camera some people visiting from Australia had set up. We were at a wonderful location in a park in Victor, Idaho where we had 2 minutes and 18 seconds of totality.
I can't even describe how incredible seeing totality was. Just AMAZING! It was moving! It got dark and we could even spot a couple stars. It was kind of like sun staring to set dark. Seeing the corona and that beautiful diamond ring just at the end was astounding. So grateful we got to witness this.
(I did not take this picture)
Avriel and Jay hanging out with the kids.
Everyone loves Coolidge. He was a little hot and tired during our walk, so we took turns holding him. This dog is going to love Star Valley winters and the SNOW!!
We had such a great, lovely, busy summer!! Now looking forward to my favorite season, Autumn!!
