I just wanted to let you all know about Joseph's band, Kindle Creek (oh, they changed their name a few months ago from Forty Days), and their latest development. They have been spending several days in the recording studio working on their first EP (Extended Play). The final EP will feature 8 original songs that the guys have written and is scheduled to be released in January 2011. A full album will follow later next year.
The first four songs are available on their site as well as their new Facebook page. They will soon be available for download once everything has been finalized.
The songs sound SO AWESOME! It's amazing how different they sound professionally recorded even though I've heard them performed live many times. The first four songs are as follows:
1- Small Towns: Written and sung by Joseph (he also plays mandolin).
2- Forty Days: Music written by Joseph (he sings the second verse, backup vocals and the really cool mandolin part).
3- Chasing Stars: Written and sung by Dillon Hurst. Joseph plays the violin and the background orchestra on the keyboard. This is a BEAUTIFUL song!
4- All I Know: Written and sung by Dillon Hurst. Joseph plays violin on this one as well. This is a really fun piece!
Everyone will have to go listen and see what you think on either their website or Facebook page. It's a really big step for them!
Also, for those of you on Facebook, go visit Kindle Creek and become a "fan." They just barely set up their page so they're trying to build their fan base. (Incidental side-note: I do not have a personal Facebook page and don't plan on having one...ever).
Happy Holidays!!!
