Family Reunion in Utah

It finally arrived and then it went by so super fast! Not fare! My Dad, Rafe, his wife, Carol, my two sisters, Peerli and Avriel, and brother-in-law, Brent, all came for a visit to "celebrate" my 30th birthday, 5 months later. It was so wonderful to all be together again!! The last time that happened was almost a year ago. We got to do some fun things while they were here for the visit. I took a bunch of pictures. Here are just some of them to show the highlights of the reunion.

We went to the Great Salt Lake. Some in our crew would say it was "not so great," there were a lot of gnats and other bugs, it was a little stinky, the sand had a bunch of rocks, and the water was cold, but we had a good time just being together and trying out the experience. Fanny, for some reason, was scared of the sand and water. She has all of a sudden developed some fears of a few things?? She did alright when being held or when she was on the beach towel, but if some sand got on her she started to cry. She was sure cute in her swimsuit, though.

Sisters! Right before going to the play "The Three Musketeers" at the Hale Center Theater in West Valley City.
Celebrating Fanny's Birthday! The triple chocolate fudge disaster cake. We tried to take it out of the pan before it cooled and then when we tried to flip it over, it fell apart. Frosting a cake that is not completely cooled and falling apart is no easy task, but Avriel worked some magic and this is the outcome. At least it tasted DELICIOUS!! Oh, and Fanny didn't turn three, in case you thought you missed something, there are three candles on the cake because one is for good luck!
Fanny enjoyed it! She was feeling a lot better than she was on her actual birthday. She was a little scared of the lit candles, though.
Chocolate covered hands...yummy!
Spending some time together in downtown Salt Lake City.
Dinner at the Mayan restaurant. We used to go to a restaurant in Denver called Casa Bonita almost every summer when we were younger. The Mayan is a lot like it, fun atmosphere, cliff divers, etc. We had a great time there. Thanks Dad!
I love this picture of Fanny wearing the princess sunglasses her Aunt Peerli and Uncle Brent got her for her birthday.

I miss everyone SOOO VERY MUCH already!! Thank you for coming to Utah so I wouldn't have to travel too far in my third trimester! It was great having everyone together. I can't wait until next time!!

Oh my gosh! I have totally forgot about Casa Bonita! It's been YEARS since I've been there, or even thought about it! WOW!

It looks like it was so fun to have your family here! :)
