Fun Stage

Can you believe she is 17 months??!! Fanny is at such a fun, cute, silly stage right now! We just love watching all the new things she is discovering to do every day. As you can see from the pictures above she is now trying on our shoes. I was getting ready for church the other day when she came out of our closet with my shoes on! She was SO excited and walked all around the house with them. Fanny tried to put her daddy's shoes on, but didn't get very far. They were MUCH bigger and heavier than mama's shoes =). One other thing that Fanny LOVES to do is put things on herself then run to the full length mirror in our bedroom to see what she looks like. She will pull clothes out of her dresser or grab whatever random thing she found to play with, like daddy's earphones, and drape them around herself then go check herself out. If I put anything on her, like a hat or something in her hair, she HAS to go see what it looks like in the mirror. Hum? What do you think this says about her personality? Vain? Curious? Girly-girl? I don't' know, but it sure is CUTE!
Here is Fanny's first picture! I've been trying to get her to draw instead of eat the crayons. She finally discovered the other day that the crayons were creating colors on the paper! This is either a flower or a butterfly. Fanny calls both "fly." She kept saying "fly" when I asked her what her picture was.
Fanny is saying so many words now. Among them are dada, mama, hi, bye bye, ball, bottle, every child under 3 is "baby," side (for outside), shoe, all done, amen, kee (for blankie), down, fly (for flower or butterfly), wow, spoo (for spoon), cereal, home, boo, moo, quack quack, cute, cracker, s'go (for let's go), chee (for cheese), Jee (for Jesus), and a few more I can't think of at the moment. Our favorites are please and thank you! She is such a polite little girl. Here are a couple videos of her saying please and thank you for a piece of cheese (one of her FAVORITE things to eat). I couldn't decide which one was better, so I put them both on.
